Joseph Vybihal is a senior faculty member in McGill University's School of Computer Science. His research interests lie in intelligent software systems - an area bridging software engineering and artificial intelligence - as well as the societal impact of social media. His current research focuses on multi-agent autonomous robotic systems capable of cooperative behavior and environmental modeling, alongside a research stream examining the effects of social media on human behavior and society.

Industry Experience: Ten years in industry working as a software engineer. Two years as CTO of Zypper a digital shipping company much like Uber but for truckers. CEO of vSolutions, a software consulting firm.

Academic Experience: Professor at Bishop's University for two years. Instructor at Herzing Institute for two years. Senior Faculty Lecturer at McGill University for 25 years, and counting.

Professional Roles: Vice-President of ACAI an affiliate group of the American Scientific Affiliation bringing AI education and solutions to the broader scientific community. I am the secretary of the board of the CSCA and the Montreal Chapter Lead, bringing science to the general public. Associate Director of the CDSI Generative AI and Coding. Bring generative AI solutions to the McGill community and Partnering organizations.

Outside of his academic and professional pursuits, Professor Vybihal enjoys a range of outdoor and creative interests.
