Hearts

HEARTS is a course project that started in September 2010 and was completed in three months. It is a game that was developed by a team of 4 students based on our own game engine.
The game follows the same rules as the well-known "Hearts". You get 1 point for receiving a card of suit HEARTS, and 13 points for getting the Queen of Spades. If you happen to collect all those scoring cards, you "shoot the moon", which means you clear your score for the current round, and add 26 points to all other players. The game will stop when a player obtains 100 points. The one with the lowest score wins.
In the Game, you can either play cards with computer AI's, or simply choose an AI that playes for you. You can define your game with 6 different levels of AI's, from the stupid random one to the smartest AI which knows most of the tricks.
During the project, I was responsible for the whole game engine design, UI design, programming and Pack & Delivery issues.
