Interested in working in our group?

I am looking for highly motivated and technically strong students to join my group at McGill who are interested in working in the following areas:

McGill has quite a diverse student community and particularly welcomes applications from under-represented groups (e.g. women, Indigenous people, members of visible minorities).

The application process is highly competitive. Successful applicants typically have:

Students in my group are expected to regularly read research papers and take initiative in proposing and implementing new ideas.

Official application information

Given that I am affiliated with two departments, your official application should be submitted to both CS and ECE. The final choice of department will depend on funding availability and fit. More information can be found by following these links:

Please apply through the McGill application website to both departments, selecting me as your preferred supervisor. Note that the deadlines are different in the two departments, and for international and domestic students.

The deadlines for international students are usually around:

Deadlines for local applicants are usually later, but it is highly recommended to apply early to be considered for potential scholarships.

How to contact me

Before applying formally, feel free to contact me by email (see on contact information on main page). If you contact me after submitting your application (which is perfectly fine), please include your application number in your message.

If you are emailing me, please use the subject line: “Prospective [UG/MSc/PhD] - [Your research interest]” and replace the text in brackets accordingly. Please indicate whether you are a local or international student and include your CV and transcript.

Due to the high volume of applications, I am only able to respond to emails that clearly demonstrate alignment with our research. Generic emails will not receive a reply. Please mention at least one recent paper from our group that you found interesting and briefly explain why (1–2 sentences).
