COMP 426 Automated Reasoning
Lecture 2: Natural deduction

We will start with introducing natural deduction calculus. We introduce judgments, propositions, and proofs and begin the discussion of the logical connectives. We follow the approach of Martin-Löf whereby the meaning of a proposition is determined by what counts as a verification of it. We introduce conjunction, implication, truth and disjunction and discuss local soundness and completeness.
