Yangmingshan is located to the north of Taipei. It is famous for its cherry blossoms, hot sprinfs, sulfur deposits, venomous snakes, and its extensive hiking trails. During the Qing Dynasty, the mountain was called Tsaoshan, and during the Japanese occupation it was made into the Datun National Park. In 1950, President Chiang Kai-shek renamed the mountain Yangmingshan after a Ming Dynasty scholar. Pick up a souvenir or answer a question for points. |
