Prasanna Parthasarathi is a senior Ph.D. (Computer Science) candidate at Quebec Artificial Intelligence Institute (Mila) and School of Computer Science, McGill University. He is advised by Prof. Joelle Pineau on his research in dialogue generation, structured representation for language generation, knowledge based dialogue generation, compositional dialogue tasks among others. Prasanna serves in the program committee of EMNLP, ACL, AAAI and COLING.

Before joining Mila/McGill, Prasanna obtained his Masters in Computer Science from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Madras. He was advised by Prof. Balaraman Ravindran on his research in transfer learning in reinforcement learning and theoretical reinforcement learning. He spent Summer '15 at Duke University working on finite episode exploration strategies with Prof. George Konidaris.
