Premiere is a popular and powerful program for the creation of digital video footage. It is referred to as a non-linear editor since, unlike tape editing, you can just between non-adjacent points in a digital video (akin to the relationship between digital tape and random access storage).

Adobe Premiere lets you combine source material, or clips to make a movie, and then view and play the movie using any application that supports Apple's Quicktime® movie format.
