The text for the first few weeks of the course is Chvatal's Linear Programming. Details of how to access this text online will be provided at the first lecture
The first assignment will be due on Janaury 20th. It will be posted on the assignments webpage on January 8th. You will need to use an LP Solver. A page setting out various options in this regard is available here
The definition of 2-tree given in lecture 6 was not complete. I forgot to add that for each node of the tree, the vertex a_s was distinct from b_r and c_r. This implies that a_s only appears in the triangles corresponding to the descendants of s. See the lecture notes for Lecture 6 forthe full definition.
The second assignment is available on the assignments page. It is due on February 5th.
