COMP 426 Automated Reasoning
Lecture 21: Hereditary Harrop Formulas
In this lecture, we will briefly summarize reasoning about Horn theories, and discuss several examples of Horn theories. Then we will extend this idea to Hereditary Harrop formulas, the largest freely generated fragment of intuitionistic logic that constitutes a logic programming language.
We will also give a demo of the Twelf system, a logical framework which supports the encoding and specification of Horn theories and theories based on Hereditary Harrop Formulas.
