COMP 426 Automated Reasoning
Lecture 8: Normal derivations
We will discuss normal derivations in detail and give several examples. In particular, we will outline the proof for normalizing derivations. As a first step, we will show completeness of the annotated natural deduction calculus and introduce the sequent calculus. Unlike the top-down and bottom-up reasoning in natural deduction, we only reason bottom-up.
