The position requires expertise in the development of probabilistic models for inherence of phylogenies for both invasive breast carcinoma and non-invasive breast lesions including atypical ductal hyperplasia, lobular neoplasia and in situ lesions. The applicant requires Ph.D. or greater depth in statistical machine learning necessary to develop models of evolution based on next-generation sequencing based profiles of the lesions, and a thorough prior understanding of this research area. Moreover, the applicant will necessarily have expertise in the construction of study designs and power analyses appropriate to cancer studies with next generation sequencing, and have a good knowledge of the relevant informatics tools for quality control and technical due diligence. Lastly, the applicant should have a solid background in breast cancer genomics and informatics with some knowledge of the clinical and pathological variables associated with these studies.
