About me

I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering at Concordia University and a lecturer at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at McGill University, both in Montreal, Canada.

Before coming to Concordia and McGill University I obtained an M.S. degree in Operations Research and Econometrics at the University of Groningen in my home country, the Netherlands. After that, I obtained an M.A. degree in economics at the Department of Economics at Brown University, where I spent two years under a Fulbright Scholarship. In 2006, I moved to the Department of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research at Columbia University, where I worked under the supervision of Maria Chudnovsky, leading to a Ph.D. degree in 2010.

Research Interests

My research interests include graph theory, combinatorial optimization, linear and nonlinear optimization, probability and computational methods.
