Pete Torunski was in the University Alumni Singers from 1966-1968, at which time he was posted to Germany with the RCAF as an aircraft engineering officer. After coming back to Canada, he joined the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir (Elmer Eisler) and married nurse, Denise Baulne. Subsequent postings eventually took him to Ottawa, where he retired in 88. Military and subsequent jobs included aircraft maintenance, quality assurance, base exchange officer, trainer and writer. He is currently a documentation consultant and course designer, living in Stittsville to the west of Ottawa. His two sons are computer programmers. He is musically active as community choir member, amateur band member (tuba) and Anglican church choir director.
