MA & T in Tasmania

Twelve days' driving, 2040 kilometers.

Highlights

Port Arthur: Tesselated Pavements, Tasman's Arch and The Blowhole (interactions of sea and rock).

Bicheno: the hike to Wineglass Bay (Freycinet National Park); interacting with Australian fauna (albeit in a zoo).

Launceston: tin mining and the Chinese (Queen Victoria Museum); a people city, reminded us of Napier.

Deloraine: the four seasons tapestry and the sculpture walk.

Devonport: Tasman Arboretum at Eugenana; Fairy penguins at Lillico Beach; Dove Lake walk at Cradle Mountain

Wynyard: warm hospitality of the ageless cousin of a colleague
