Soter.io is an app contructed at the ConUHacks II hackathon in 2017, held at Concordia University. Soter aims to fight crime and, eventually, dissuade lawlessness and embolden citizens.

We hope to accomplish this goal by implementing features in users' mobile phones that would allow security in every walk of life. The app grants the user the ability to notify authorities in times of distress, whether through volume recognition or physical vibrations by the usee, with the location of the call and name of the distressed. The application ensures only proper usage of these faculties by way of our algorithm.
