1- login in your EMF account

2- Choose ''3) Communication'' from the menu

( Same option that gives you access to MUSICB.)

3- Choose ''7) Air for Windows''. (It will invoke WINDOWS.)

4- Choose AIR MOSAIC (double click on the icon)

5- The McGill WEB page will be brought to you ...

Double click on the links (blue, underlined words) in you want to surf on the WEB.

6- Click on ''Document URL'' and change the address to

7- Add to BOOKMARKS.

On the PC's :

• Type MAIL from DOS ( or ALT-R and use arrow keys to select e-mail option )
• Select second option ( File )
• Fill in fields in menu
• Mail to H???@MUSICB.VM1.MCGILL.CA

In MUSICB :

• Go into mail system, read mail message
• While message is on screen, type SAVE into
• COMMAND field and hit ENTER
• Fill in filename in menu
• Mail that file to TA
• Note that each assignment will be mailed to a different account.

MUSIC/SP

• multi­user operating system
• files are stored on disk attached to the mainframe
• average # of users on MUSICB : 300

Commands

• all MUSIC commands can be accessed or executed through the FSI menu
• the prompt is called "star go" (*Go) (press F3 from FSI menu)
• Course lnformation(located under Cl topic in the FSI menu)
