Third Post

There: I fixed it. For those interested, I simply added a list of the posts, had my XML parsing code add the post text to a list, and then add the text one by one to the page. I think I'm finished for today. For the record, not including the time I've been thinking about how I would write this code, it has taken me two hours to write this script. It's 79 lines of code, including comments and whitespace. It doesn't have an editing module, it doesn't support multiple authors, and it doesn't support multiple pages of posts or individual post pages, so when I write more than three or so posts the page will start to get really long. I'll probably add support for multiple pages as well as post excerpts for publishing to the main page later, but I don't really feel like it right now. I'll have to think about how best to implement the editing script. As soon as I started to think about it, I realized that a post editing module means that I'll have to implement some sort of administrator login, which is not something I'm too keen on doing. Of course, since I'm writing this is python, I'm sure there's some sort of encryption module with that I can use with enc.encrypt(password); I love Python.

Oh, and the links for the tags don't work either. Pooh.

I may or may not keep this page up to date. I blog regularly on my Personal Blog, so if you like what I'm talking about here or the way I write, please check it out. Or just please check it out: my hit count contributes significantly to my ego. If you want to make me really happy, you could leave me a comment on my blog. If you find me in real life, and tell me that you've read my blog and what you think of it, I'll be even happier and I'll thank you. If you subscribe to my blog and find me in real life to tell me what you think of my blog, I'll bake you cookies or cake. Seriously; remind me, I'll totally do it.
