To: navindra@cs.mcgill.ca Hello guys, I've been working on Fresco ( on AIX ), yeap that old GUI toolkit from X Consortium way back in 1995. http://www.iuk.tu-harburg.de/fresco/ Right now, it runs/works under AIX 4.3.1 with GNU egcs 2.81 as is ( probably with small changes) But it needs its CORBA IDL overhauled, which I'm trying to do by replacing it with mico 2.3.0. I'm also trying to bring Fresco so that it can be compiled besides the gnu c++ compiler. I'm still A LONG WAY OFF from completion. Some partial success though. Why Fresco? It has X11-style licensing unlike semi-open QPL licenses. Fresco is C++ GUI toolkit ( like Qt ) with CORBA and multi-threading capabilities. Fresco needs updating in some areas such as Drag-and-Drop, CORBA, etc.. And adding some areas such as XML, DOM. etc... chfong@yahoo.com CHF __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Bid and sell for free at http://auctions.yahoo.com
