My Music

On the side, when not busy with school, research or writing, I also enjoy playing guitar and piano. I have to mention that I am far from anything good at these instruments, and that my composing skills are terrible, but for completeness purposes I felt that I should have a music section on this web site.

A few years ago I dabbled in composing music with a midi player. It was quite a fun experiment, also in retrospect it's a bit simplistic. The rest of the files are guitar recordings.

My Work

• April 2005: Morning in A Major. This is a live recording of me playing the classical guitar.
• August 2004: Le Marin. Originally intended to be a reel, but the rythm is too slow. Unfortunately some parts do not sound nice at all when the tempo is increased, so instead of "Le Reel du Marin" we get "Le Marin" which is less specific.
• August 2004: Le Reel du Fermier. This one I managed to give the tempo I wanted. There are only 36 seconds done on it, and I do not know when I will continue it.
• September-October 2004: Faerie. My current work. I studied the structure of Dowds' Favourite and decided to give it a slower tempo.Complete.
• November 2004: Wanderlust. In this piece I added multiple instruments to see how I could achieve nicer sounds than plain piano. Since emulating piano seems to be a much harder job for computers than other instruments, the results is interesting.
