A few sample images produced by the Radiant renderer:
Overview
The Radiant Renderer is a 3D global illumination renderer I created for my COMP-400 Honors Computer Science course project. The goal was to learn more about global illumination and experiment with possible optimizations.
The renderer features adaptive Monte Carlo sampling, adaptive anti-aliasing, light-emitting surfaces, customizable materials, a custom XML scene file format and a camera that can be rotated along 3 axes. It was a platform for me to experiment with various techniques including irradiance caching and an indirect illumination buffer.
