GI 2014 is the 40th Graphics Interface conference!

Graphics interface is the oldest continuously-scheduled conference in the field. The conference consistently attracts high-quality papers on recent advances in interactive systems, human-computer interaction, and graphics, from around the world. GI 2014 will take place in Montreal, Quebec, from May 7th to 9th, 2014, at Université de Montréal and École Polytechnique de Montréal.

All paper submissions are fully peer reviewed by at least two members of the program committee and two external reviewers. Accepted papers will be archived in the ACM Digital Library.

Authors of selected papers will be invited to submit extended and revised manuscripts to be considered, with partial reviewer continuity, for journal publication in a special section of Computers and Graphics. The Michael A. J. Sweeney Award will be awarded at the conference to the best student papers in graphics and HCI. This year, NVIDIA has kindly sponsored Graphics Interface by donating GTX780 graphics cards as prizes.

The conference includes a posters and demos session featuring late breaking research and work in progress with high potential. Best posters are selected for both the HCI and graphics tracks. This year, Intel has kindly sponsored Graphics Interface by donating Bay Trail powered Windows tablets as prizes.

GI 2014 is held in conjunction with the Computer and Robot Vision 2014 (CRV), and the Artificial Intelligence 2014 conferences. Registration will permit attendees to attend any talk or keynote in the three conferences (GI, AI, CRV), which will be scheduled in parallel tracks. GRAND is a platinum sponsor for the AIGICRV conference, and additionally provides direct support to Graphics Interface by sharing with CHCCS the travel costs of the invited Fourier and Buxton dissertation prize winners.

Graphics Interface 2014 will have joint sessions for the graphics and HCI tracks, with talks in the areas of human-computer interaction, computer graphics, and visualization. Please see the call for papers for a list of topics of interest and additional information.
