- The name of the class is AdderApplet.class
- The key to get this to work is to put "AdderApplet.class" in the same directory as this html file.
- You also have to put any pictures that the applet uses in the correct directory. Most likely, this is the same directory as the .html file, but it depends on the applet (the maker of the applet should give you this information
- Make sure that all images, classes etc. are chmodded correctly. This is not nearly as picky as running CGI scripts. I chmodded my folder calc to 711 and the class and html files to 744, but you should be able to use other permutations as long as they are readable
- Then you write
< applet code="AdderApplet.class" width=175 height=175 >
- Some applets have parameters, for example background color. If an applet has this, it would have to specify it in that particular site. IF it uses these, you would write
< param name="background" value="blue" >
Note that the above line with param is completely made up code for the purpose of the example and is simply meant to illustrate how you would use it
- Finally after listing all of the parameters (if there are any parameters), you write
< /applet >
