David Kawrykow

I am currently enrolled in Morgan Stanley's technology training program, in New York. Starting November, I will work for Morgan Stanley MUFG (in Tokyo).

I recently submitted my M.Sc. thesis. I completed the thesis under Martin P. Robillard in the SWEVO lab at McGill University.

For my M.Sc., I developed techniques that help software developers more easily classify the fine-grained structural deltas found in version archives (e.g., CVS or SVN). I recently developed DiffCat, a tool-supported technique for detecting non-essential code changes in version histories, which was accepted for publication at ICSE 2011.

During my B.Sc. (also at McGill), I developed a tool-supported technique that tries to help software developers make more effective use of third-party application programming underfaces. I presented this work at ASE in 2009.

I also write fiction. Recently, one of my stories made it into a magazine.
