Archibald Haddock (123456789) COMP-202A, Section 0 (Fall 2010) Instructor: Cuthbert Calculus Assignment 1, Question 2 1. This scenario is fair: * The information being exchanged consists of abstract ideas rather than fully-developed solutions; each person receiving information still has to implement a solution from the idea he/she received. * Neither of the students in this scenario learns anything from the other student's submission other than what was agreed upon in the trade. This scenario would be unfair if each student had allowed the other to copy fully-developed, working source code for the part he/she was having trouble with. 2. This scenario is unfair, as it is too easy for the student seeking help to copy the other student's actual code. This scenario would have been fair if the other student had instead explained in words how to get started on the question, and the student seeking help had written his/her solution on his own, relying only on his/her memory of the other student's explanation.
