About
I'm a mathematician by training, currently living and working in Montreal. I'm an amateur musician and homebrewer as well, and at the moment I have a bit of a fixation with Dominion.
Mathematics
I'm interested in mathematical logic and category theory, though I've also studied formal languages, computability & complexity, and cryptography. Lately, I've been writing up some notes on Stone Duality.
Teaching
I've been a full-time teacher since January 2009, and if you're interested in how I think basic mathematics ought to be done, you might want to read this well-known article. If you're looking for CEGEP level material, I've listed some online resources that I've found useful in the links section; they should be helpful for teachers and students alike.
I often feel that it's hard to find freely accessible presentations of topics in higher mathematics. I'd like to do my part to remedy this by taking things that I've written up for my own benefit, and making them available in the projects & papers section.
