Seasonal Finances
by Benjamin Heller

How shall we spend our winter, my love?
We've got quite a good one this year.
We could use it to buy a great many things
What do you think, my dear?

You've always been weak for the frivolous things
Those gadgets that live in the moment
I think we should think of more logical choices
The stability of rational investment

Just think, with one winter secure in the bank
Our interest would annually grow
In ten years we'd have frost on September the first
By October we'd surely have snow

With a winter so large we could move to the South
Make Florida turn chilly and glum
As housing costs plummet we'd buy up the lot
Move north, then sell it, what fun!
