Greg's list of places to eat (Frankfurt)
Back to my main page.
Just a couple of places that I ate while visiting my friend, Manos, for a
weekend in December 2002:
-
Adolf Wagner:
Lots of
meat,
potatoes and sauerkraut! A nice, relaxed and loud atmosphere, you sit at
what looks like a picnic table. This is a place that tourists don't know
about.
Price was about ??.
Many thanks to Manos, Maria and Toula (mentioned alphabetically)
for
showing me this authentic Frankfurt experience.
-
Sushi Circle: could also be called the sushi-production-line... Everybody
sits at this somewhat circular bar, and a number of little plates
pass in front of you on a revolving apparatus which looks like a mini
baggage-claims track at the airport. You can take what you want, and when
your meal is over, just count the empty plates to pay.
It was a fun experience, eating sushi in Frankfurt, prepared by our very
friendly Bangladeshi chef, Ali.
Plates have a couple of pieces each and cost between 2-3.5 Euro.
However! If you happen to go with Natalia (and to a much lesser extent,
with Manos), you will enjoy twice as much sushi at least, for the same
price.
