Pattern Recognition research at SOCS spans a number of distinct but related areas. Luc Devroye works in the area of probabilistic pattern recognition. Godfried Toussaint works in the area of computational geometry and is also interested in applications of pattern recognition theory to the analysis of music.
Kaleem Siddiqi works in the area of pattern and object recognition using computer vision techniques and in applications of pattern analysis to medical imaging.
