Computer Vision research at SOCS spans several areas. Greg Dudek works in the area of mobile robotics and in environment sensing and modeling. Mike Langer works in the area of appearance modelling. Kaleem Siddiqi is interested in shape analysis using partial differential equations and geometric flows, as well as in medical imaging. We work closely with other members of McGill's Centre for Intelligent Machines ( Tal Arbel, Jim Clark, Frank Ferrie, all in the Dept. of Electrical and Computer Engineering) and with the medical imaging group at the McConnell Brain Imaging Centre.
The Centre for Intelligent Machines (CIM) has roughly 40 graduate students working in computer vision and related areas (Mobile Robotics, HCI).
