Seeking part-time IT support technician in the Sequence Production Lab

Dr. Caroline Palmer's lab in the Psychology Dept (www.mcgill.ca/spl/)is seeking a part-time (10 hrs / week) technician to assist with research projects investigating production of music and speech.  The SPL lab is an excellent environment for a research-oriented student in computer science, music technology, or psychology. The abilities to multi-task, prioritize, and learn quickly are desirable as the position entails various projects. The position continues year-round with salary approximately $14/hr.

Candidates MUST be current students at McGill and have experience in at least 2 of the following areas (familiarity with Matlab a plus):

- software experience with packages such as CUBASE, Audacity, Audition
- audio hardware and MIDI instruments
- audio editing and sound recording
- general hardware and software troubleshooting with Windows OS
- A/V experience with various hardware
