Research Description

Luc's main research area is in the applications of probability theory and probabilistic methods to computer science, especially to the expected-time analysis of algorithms and data structures. He is also interested in random number generation, probabilistic algorithms, random graphs, random optimization and statistical pattern recognition. In addition to the application of probability theory to computer science, he is also interested in mathematical statistics, in particular, nonparametric estimation of densities and regression functions.
