Research Description

Professor Toussaint is interested in almost all aspects of computational geometry but in particular he is presently involved in the study of the motion of polygonal linkages in space, motivated by problems in robotics, knot theory, molecular biology, protein folding and polymer physics. He is also interested in instance-based learning, music information retrieval, computational music theory, and several aspects of geometric textile pattern design.
