Please be advised: There will be a major shutdown in the McConnell Engineering Complex. The shutdown will be done in two phases: 1. Electrical shutdown from Monday 28 March at 22:00 to Tuesday 29 March at 06:00. In this shutdown the emergency power will be available. 2. Whilst the power is back on 29 March at 06:00, the cooling system will still be down until 12:00 that day. Therefore, our server room cannot be in full capacity until noon. As always we will try and keep our file, mail and web services up and running as long as the server room temperature permits. We hope to have all services up and running very soon after the server room temperature returns to normal. Thank you for your understanding.

A North American effort is being made to advance and give the public free educational opportunities as it relates to the possibilities and impact that computer science has and will make in the world. The goal is to specifically encourage high school students from grades 8 to 11 and CEGEP students, their parents and teachers to visit McGill University's School of Computer Science to learn and experience the potential that is in computer science.
