Summer Employment Opportunity at Tennis Canada

Event Details/Announcement:

To all interested applicants, Please send a cover letter to Ryan Concepcion at rconcepcion@tenniscanada.com. This position will involve working with the Web/IT department in Montreal, providing day-to-day IT support as well intensive preparation for the 2013 Rogers Cup international tennis tournament. The position commences at the beginning of May until the end of August and general business hours are from 8:30AM to 5:00PM. During the tournament, hours increase dramatically and the expectation is that the candidate will strive to give their best working in an intense environment. This year's tournament runs from August 2-11 and during these 9 days, all IT staff are expected to be on site ready to tackle any challenges that arise. Planning and implementation for this event are not easy tasks, but the outcome is incredibly rewarding and provides valuable experience. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a massive operation, delivering first-class service at one of the largest and oldest international tennis tournaments in the world. Job Function Information Technology/Computer System & Network Support Desired Major(s) Engineering/Electrical, Engineering/Mechanical, Engineering/Computer, Engineering/Software Desired Degree Level Undergraduate, Masters & Grad Dips & Certs Qualifications The prospective candidate should have experience with hardware/software support and troubleshooting. This includes WinXP, Windows 7, OSX and Linux environments. You should have some experience/knowledge of server administration and maintenance (Windows and Linux environments). Additional experience/knowledge in network infrastructure, CCNA, PBX voice systems and web/database development would be considered an asset.
