The course covers the synchronization and load balancing techniques involved in building parallel discrete event simulations for execution on distributed and parallel platforms (a cluster of workstations or a parallel machine). We emphasize application areas, notably distributed VLSI simulation and n-body simulations
(cosmological simulations).
