COMP- 564:
COMPUTATIONAL GENE REGULATION
|
|
Course Summary
-
Molecular oncology is undergoing a revolution in large part due to the ubiquity of high-throughput technologies including microarrays, next generation sequencing, and proteomics. For many cancers, the use of high-throughput molecular profiling techniques and subsequent quantitative analyses has identified new subtypes of the disease, identified reliable multivariate biomarker panels, and provided comprehensive insight into the pathways and processes that are perturbed in the disease. This course explores cancer from a bioinformatics perspective with an emphasis on tools and results that have been facilitated by these modern tools.
