Employment Opportunities at CSThe school of Computer Science at McGill University invites applications for two tenure-track positions at the assistant professor level, to begin August 1, 2013. One of these is in the area of data mining and particularly with emphasis on “big data,” text analysis and unstructured data. The other is targeted at theoretical computation with an emphasis on algorithms, computational geometry and discrete optimization. Our application form can be found here: Academic Application Form. Academic Application FormAssistant Professor at Douglas Mental Health and University InstituteThe Douglas Institute’s Centre d’Imagerie Cérébrale (Douglas CIC) is seeking to hire an independent and motivated Computational Neuroscientist. The successful candidate will hold a full-time Assistant Professorship in the Department of Psychiatry at McGill University, and will be expected to develop an independent research programme, while collaborating with our multidisciplinary team of neuroscience researchers at the Douglas Institute. The Douglas CIC is a new, state-of-the-art imaging centre located in Montréal, Canada, and affiliated with McGill University. The centre is dedicated to conducting cutting edge clinical and pre-clinical in-vivo brain imaging research in the area of mental health. The centre houses a Siemens 3T Magnetom Trio human MRI scanner, and a 7T Bruker Biospec small animal MRI scanner, as well as labs specialized in optogenetics, electroencephalography (EEG) and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS).
