School AI researchers win `Shakey' award
The members of the School of Computer Science's Reasoning and Learning Lab have discovered that in addition to being experts at getting computers to learn for themselves, they have a knack for movie-making as well. In this year's Artificial Intelligence Video competition, their submission Reinforcement Learning by Example was awarded the Shakey in the Best Educational category. The trophy was awarded at the International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence (IJCAI) in Pasadena.
