Students Share Insights Into History and Philosophy of Computing
On Wednesday, March 19, 2008 the students of Comp 280 "History and Philosophy of Computing" organized a poster session on topics from the history of computing (e.g., Mayan numerals, the Divine proportion, the perception of early computers, Frege's logic, history of AI, computer bugs, and video game controllers). The posters were exhibited on the 2nd floor of Trottier and they attracted a fair number of students who were curious to learn about the origins of computing. The event was organized in collaboration with the Computer Science Undergraduate Society (CSUS).
