Title | Publishers | Authors | Brief Description |
---|---|---|---|
Learning Perl | O'Reilly | Randal L. Schwartz & Tom Christiansen | Basically most books coming from O'Reilly press are good reference books. They are not necessarily the best books for beginners but from intermediate to expert users the books are tremendously useful. |
Java in a Nutshell | O'Reilly | David Flanagan | Again, not a superb book for beginners but good reference material. |
The C Programming Language Second Edition | Prentice Hall | Brian W. Kernighan & Dennis M. Ritchie | There are better beginner books out there but this was the one I learned C with. |
Core Java Second Edition | The Sunsoft Press | Gary Cornell & Cay S. Horstmann | A very comprehensive book. Look for the second book, I think its call Core Jave II, for advanced programmers. |
