This section describes a little bit about the web in order to dispell some common misconceptions. Hopefully, this will save you a little trouble and/or frustration. The material contained herein explains a little bit about mime types and plugins, the issue of website creation at SOCS, and a few details on getting CGI to work with the SOCS web server.
